For many students, there is not an obvious time of the year to search for research positions. One way to take the guesswork out of this is to have fixed times for posting and applying for research positions. Normally, STRAND will have 3 rounds / year:
- mid fall for spring research,
- early spring for summer research, and
- late spring for fall research.
Because we're just getting STRAND up and running, we're having a very abbreviated round this fall.
With timed rounds, students can feel confident that they can look for projects at specific time periods and not worry about constantly searching throughout the year.
